14-year-old dominates motocross field at Prairie City Grand Prix in Rancho Cordova
RANCHO CORDOVA >> Rafe Wallace, a 14-year-old Lower Lake High School student, is quickly making a name for himself on the motorcycle cross country racing circuit.
Wallace has been on an absolute tear since jumping into District 36 action early in 2025, winning several races as well as a Fall Series Championship. He opened the Spring Series on Saturday and Sunday at the Prairie City Grand Prix in Rancho Cordova, competing in his first youth B-class race Saturday. He battled to a second-place finish, coming in just seconds behind the winner.
Wallace returned Sunday to compete in the adult C200 class and dominated the field. He not only finished first in his class with an 11-second winning margin, but he had the best time regardless of class among the 96 assembled riders.
Sponsored by Motorsports of Ukiah, FXR and Acerbis, Wallace returns to action the weekend of Jan. 31-Feb. 1 in the Old Mill Hare Scramble at Elk Creek.
