Yebra garners first-place honors during New Year’s Bash in Folsom

FOLSOM >> Although illness cut into the number of wrestlers that were able to participate, the Middletown Wrestling Club won 11 medals on Sunday during the New Year’s Bash in Folsom.
“The brackets were tough, but our kids came ready to work,” Middletown coach Ariana Fanucchi said.
Andres Yebra won the middle school boys division (94-97 pounds) while Westley Cory (bantam 76-90) and Cary Glasgow Jr. (middle school boys 75-77) came in second.
Third-place medals went to Carmine Del Sarto (bantam 48-54), Hunter Fanucchi (intermediate 58-63), Diana Glasgow (middle school girls 114-123), Troy Johnston (middle school boys 122-140), Carson Mackey (intermediate 85-91), Logan Parks (bantam 37-40), Kian Woods (intermediate 84-91) and Zander Woods (bantam 49-52).
