Several Knights bring home medals from Paradise competition

PARADISE >> Kelseyville High School’s wrestling team turned in a strong effort Friday during tournament action at Paradise High School, placing fourth.
Kendra Devries (110 pounds) and Maddie Hayes (125) came away with first-place medals while Hayden Brown (144) captured second place. Third-place medals went to Hayden White (105), Brandon Brown (106), Logun Whittle (113), Laney Fossa (120), and Hannah Bila (235).
Placing fourth were Kaia Calhoun (120), Taylor Boyles (150), Andrew Souza (165).
In other wrestling action Friday, Upper Lake High School junior varsity wrestlers Jayden Taylor and Roberto Urucha both placed second at the Coastal Mountain Conference Novice Tournament in St. Helena.
Taylor posted a 2-1 record on the day and Urucha 3-2.
