Holmes, Brown, Whittle are top placers for Knights

NAPA >> Cody Holmes, Brandon Brown and Logun Whittle were the top placers for the Kelseyville High School wrestling team Saturday during a tournament at Vintage High School in Napa.
Holmes finished fifth at 157 pounds, Brown fifth at 106 pounds, and Whittle fifth at 113 pounds. John Carr came in sixth in the heavyweight division.
Though it was a boys tournament, Kelseyville’s Laney Fossa and Maddie Hayes took part, the only girls to compete.
Also for the Knights, Hayden Brown went 2-2 at 150 pounds and Izeah Ely finished 103 at 106 pounds. Nikolai Trippo also took part.
Kelseyville finished 14th as a team.
