Maverick Paminto wins first-, second-place medals at Folsom

FOLSOM >> Eight Lake County wrestlers competing with the Spring Hills Wrestling Club brought home several medals, including four firsts, Sunday during the seventh annual Bulldawg Bash in Folsom.
Jay T. Farrell won a 16-man bracket in the 108-pound middle school TOC division, earning 29 team points in the process, while teammate Maverick Paminto came away with a first (10-and-under, 60 pounds) and a second (10-and-under 59-60 pounds) to earn 35.5 team points. Brantley Paminto added a first in the 12-and-under division for 90-96 pounds, and Brodie McDaniel won the middle school girls division (80.2-94.2 pounds).
Cristian Navarro finished third in the 10-and-under division (62-68 pounds) and Amara Boone was third in the 10-and-under division (57 pounds).
Brayden Paminto placed seventh in the middle school TOC division (89 pounds), which featured a 16-man bracket.
Another wrestler, Gabriel Navarro, was medically ruled out because of injury.
Spring Hills finished with 305.5 points and was one of 57 teams in the field.
