MERCED >> Colin Crow and Kaitlyn Crow of the CORE Wrestling Club won their respective weight classes last week during the SJWA Merced Tournament.

Colin Crow placed first in the 10-and-under division (53-57.4 pounds) with three pins in three matches. His sister, Kaitlyn, won the 12-and-under girls division (76.2-77.4 pounds) with 11-0 and 10-2 major decisions in her two matches. Kaitlyn took another first in the 12-and-under boys division (75.8-79.6 pounds), going 5-0 with four pins and a 15-3 major decision.

“Kaitlyn has been working with cradles and had one heck of a cradle in the boys division along with her cradle defense,” CORE coach Danny Cuellar Sid. “Colin has a motor on him. The kid doesn’t stop moving and is starting to find his angles better.”
