Brantley Paminto, Maverick Paminto win two divisions apiece

RIO LINDA >> Seven Lake County wrestlers competing with Spring Hills Wrestling Club captured eight first-place medals, two seconds and two thirds Sunday during the Sierra Kids Halloween Madness Tournament in Rio Linda.
Spring Hills led the tournament in pins (27) and tech falls (six).
Brantley Paminto scored a pair of firsts, winning at 82-91 pounds and 99-113 pounds in the 12-and-under division. His five pins were the third most by a tournament wrestler.
Maverick Paminto also won two divisions – 58-63 and 63-65 –in the 10-and-under division. His seven combined pins (six) and tech falls (one) led the tournament.
Gabriel Navarro picked up a first in the 92-98 middle school division and a second in the 100-106 high school division. He logged three pins and won two matches by decision.
Brodie McDaniel won the 73-75 middle school girls division and was second in the 74-75 division for 12-and-under wrestlers. She finished with one pin, one tech fall and two decisions.
Other firsts went to Jay T. Farrell and Cristian Navarro. Farrell won the 100-111 middle school division with three pins and one tech fall. Navarro’s first came in the 10-and-under 65-72 division where he pinned two opponents and beat another by decision.
Brayden Paminto finished third in both the 86-89 and 92-98 divisions.
