UPPER LAKE >> Middletown Middle School’s B volleyball team won the first set before Mountain Vista Middle School B rallied for a 23-25, 25-22, 15-10 win Saturday in the championship match of the Lake County Junior High Athletic League tournament at Upper Lake High School.

“There were some solid rallies and great volleyball happening on both sides of the net,” Middletown head coach Niki Emberson said. “We were down a starter and our team pulled together to try to fill her shoes.”

Remmi Harbison led the Broncos with six aces and two kills. Aleah Kilstrom added three aces and two kills.

“Our Broncos battled until the very end,” Emberson said.

Middletown was the No. 1 seed in the tournament to Mountain Vista’s No. 2.
