Broncos knock off Lucerne in softball action

MIDDLETOWN >> Middletown Middle School beat Lucerne 12-2 in five innings during Monday afternoon softball action in Middletown.
Winning pitcher Payton Beehler went the distance, allowing two hits and one earned run while striking out 13 and walking four.
Mia Martin went 3-for-3, with a double and a RBI for Middletown. Lilliaunna Reyes went 2-for-2 and Alina Kilstrom each went 2-for-2 with three RBIs. Reyes also doubled.
