Percoats sparks JV Trojans in 36-21 win

Lower Lake JV football team improves to 2-0 with home win over Maxwell

LOWER LAKE >> Roy Percoats scored on runs of 9, 22 and 39 yards to power the Lower Lake High School junior varsity football team to a 36-21 win over Maxwell in non-league action Thursday night at Gordon Sadler Field.

Quarterback DJ Thomas completed a pair of touchdown passes in the win as the Trojans improved to 2-0 on the season. Thomas had a 51-yard strike to Ryder Steffen in the first half and a 25-yard pass to Zamod Nichols in the second half.

Lower Lake led 22-7 at halftime.

The Lower Lake varsity hits the road Friday to play Healdsburg at 7 p.m.

Both Lower Lake teams are home Friday, Sept. 12 to play St. Helena in the North Central League I opener for both schools. JV action kicks off at 5 p.m.
