MIDDLETOWN >> Carly Johnson led the way with 10 kills, Bridget Lisenbee finished with a team-best 11 assists, and Jordyn Harbison added a team high six aces as the Middletown Mustangs swept St. Bernard 25-14, 25-21, 26-24 in non-league varsity volleyball action Friday in Middletown.
Johnson also finished with three aces and two blocks while Lisenbee had five aces.
“Our serves helped us,” Middletown head coach Erika Galvan said. “St. Bernard was making a good comeback in the third set with some good offense that made us struggle a little bit, but we were able to finish it.”
Middletown is participating in the NorCal Invitational on Saturday in Rohnert Park. The Mustangs are in action next Thursday in Ukiah.
