Under-16 traveling softball team plays Napa Crushers in doubleheader

LOWER LAKE >> The Lake County Fury under-16 traveling softball team will play the Napa Crushers twice on Aug. 16 at Lower Lake High School. It’s the first home appearance for the first-year team.
Action begins at 9:30 a.m. Following play the teams will take a 30-minute break before starting game two at 11:30 a.m.
Fury head coach Kris Bal said an attempt was made to bring in other teams besides Napa, but their schedules did not permit it.
Admission at the gate is $5 and all proceeds support Lake County Fury softball. Concessions will be available.
The Fury are scheduled to play in a tournament Saturday and Sunday in Sacramento. The team is 1-3 on the season.
