JV Knights improve to 6-0 in North Central League I standings, 8-1 overall

KELSEYVILLE >> Case Pivniska went 4-for-4 with a home run and Kimo Brown and Jorge Gonzalez both reached base three times in Kelseyville’s 17-1 win over the Lower Lake Trojans in North Central League I junior varsity baseball action Tuesday in Kelseyville.
The game was called after five innings because of the 10-run mercy rule.
“We started very fast offensively and continued to play well,” Kelseyville head coach Sean Navarro said. “I am very proud of my guys on how hard they have played.”
Winning pitcher Reese Johnson started on the mound and worked two innings. Brown pitched the next two innings before Pivniska took over in the fifth.
“All three pitchers performed very well,” Navarro said.
Kelseyville is 6-0 in league play and 8-1 overall.
Kelseyville hosts Middletown on Friday at 4 p.m.
