Kelseyville returns to action Thursday against Cloverdale in Lakeport

KELSEYVILLE >> The Sonoma Academy Coyotes scored three goals in each half while shutting out the Kelseyville Knights 6-0 in North Central League I girls soccer action Tuesday in Kelseyville.
“Sonoma Academy is a really good team,” Kelseyville head coach Irma Rodriguez said of the Coyotes (3-0 league, 7-2-1 overall). “We tried playing a defensive game against them but some errors in the beginning cost us.”
Rodriguez gave high marks to the play of defender Xiomara Arias and midfielders Regina Rico, Mikaela Rico and Kylee Denham.
Kelseyville (0-1-1, 4-6-1) returns to action Thursday against Cloverdale at Clear Lake High School in Lakeport.
