Gladiator wrestlers turn in strong showings at Fresno, Sacramento tournaments

FRESNO >> Arturo Gudino and Brantley Paminto of the Gladiators Wrestling Club secured bear trophies after winning their respective divisions during the Kids Greco State and Junior Freestyle Tournament last weekend in Fresno.
Also competing for the Gladiators were Brodie McDaniel, Maverick Paminto and Brayden Paminto,
Along with winning his division, Gudino secured a qualifying bid to the USA National Championships in July at Fargo, North Dakota. At Fresno, Gudino won the Junior Freestyle 100-pound division, going 3-0 with three technical falls.
Brantley Paminto wrestled in the Intermediate Greco 84-pound division, going 3-0 with two pins and one technical fall.
Also reaching the medal podium for the Gladiators was Maverick Paminto (second in Greco), McDaniel (fourth in Greco) and Brayden Paminto (sixth in Greco).
Fresno
Two other Gladiators team members, Kaitlyn and Colin Crow, competed over the weekend at the Foothill Mustang Spring Tournament in Fresno.
Competing in Folkstyle, Freestyle and Greco divisions, Kaitlyn Crow scored two firsts and two thirds. Colin Crow finished first in Freestyle as well as second in both the Folkstyle and Greco divisions.
