Paminto brothers, McDaniel, Navarro brothers all bring home first-place finishes

SACRAMENTO >> Six Lake County wrestlers competing with Spring Hills Performance Center – The Best Wrestler took traveled to tournaments in Sacramento, Willits and Healdsburg over the weekend.

The Paminto brothers – Brayden, Brantley and Maverick – competed at the SAWA Maverick Spring Tournament for freestyle and Greco on Saturday. Brayden Paminto won the school boys freestyle title at 87.5-93 pounds and also the 88-93 school boys bracket. He also had the best five-point throw of the day.

Brantley Paminto secured a first-place finish in the novice boys Greco bracket for 82-91 pounds, and he added a second in the freestyle bracket for 91-94 pounds.

Maverick Paminto won the greco bracket for 58-62 pounds while also placing second in the freestyle bracket for 58-62 pounds.

During the Queen of the Redwoods tournament in Willits, Brodie McDaniel won the school girls bracket both in two divisions – 75-85 pounds and 90 pounds.

The Navarro brothers, Cristian and Gabriel, competed at the Healdsburg Spring Wrestling Tournament and both won their divisions – Cristian in the freestyle bracket for 63.6-70.6 pounds, and Gabriel in the freestyle bracket for 109.4-115.8 pounds.
