Guzman scores twice for Bears in 3-2 victory over Mountain Vista Middle School

LOWER LAKE >> Adrian Guzman scored twice and Marco Soto also had a goal as the Obsidian Middle School co-ed soccer team held off Mountain Vista for a 3-2 win Monday afternoon at Lower Lake High School.

Mountain Vista rallied from a 2-0 halftime deficit to make a game of it.

Axel Jimenez and Yael Viveros Lopez had assists for Obsidian.

Mountain Vista scoring was not reported.

In other middle school co-ed soccer action Monday:

Middletown 5, Terrace 2

At Middletown, Eric Chavez scored both of Terrace’s goals in a road loss to the Middletown Broncos.

“It was a hard loss for Terrace but lots of teachable moments from today’s game,” Terrace head coach Becca Joyce said.

Middletown scoring was not reported.
