Mustangs pile up the hits in North Central League I win

LOWER LAKE >> Winning pitcher Ashlynn Thompson went 3-for-4 at the plate as the Middletown High School junior varsity softball team beat the Lower Lake Trojans 21-9 in North Central League I action Friday at Middletown.
Jolene Holley, Izzi Hoogendoorn and Hannah Tribby all went 4-for-4 in support of Thompson. Khloe Becerril added three more hits while Valery Roldan went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.
“The girls came to play today,” Middletown head coach Kevin Thompson said. “Their hitting combined with their smart base running took the win.”
Middletown, now 2-0 in league play and 4-3 overall, travels to Fort Bragg on Tuesday.
