They combine to go 10-0 with nine pins, win four weight classes

RIO LINDA >> It was another successful weekend on the mat for members of the Gladiators Wrestling Club during the Jr. Knights Tournament Sunday in Rio Linda, especially for brothers Brantley and Maverick Paminto.
Among the 11 first-place medals won by the Gladiators during the tournament, the Paminto brothers accounted for four of those, each winning two separate weight divisions. Brantley went 5-0 on the day with four pins and one technical fall while improving to 15-1 on the season, and Maverick went 5-0 on the day, all pins, to improve his season record to 10-5.
Other first-place medals went to Yaretzi Briseno Saucedo, Kaitlyn Crow (16-3 on the season), Tyler Luciano, Alley Oakes, Elijah Tucker, Branson Whittle and Logun Whittle (10-2 on the season).
The Gladiators also took home 15 second-place medals, including two each by Colin Crow and Kailaya Philpot. Others went to Kaitlyn Crow, Neveah Barocio, Anastasia Garcia, Sebastian James, Hayden Janssen, Fredrick Jeffries, Gary Oakes, Jameson Philpott, Thomas Philpott, William Villa and Logun Whittle.
Bringing home third-place medals were Barocio, Briseno, Tucker, Villa, Kiley Dugger, Riley Garner, Adin Griffen, Alyssa Hopkins, Leroy Hopkins, Aiden Madrid, Brayden Paminto, Brian Patrick and John Young.
Fourth-place finishes went to Neveah Barocio, Olyver Dugger, Cameryn Gamble-Ray, Michael Garner, Jaxden Maitland, Judah O’Keefe, Zoey O’Keefe, Lilly Oakes, Jameson Philpot and Thomas Philpot. Jason Nehring and Branson Whittle added fifth-place finishes.
While most of the Gladiators were competing in Rio Linda over the weekend, another Gladiators wrestler, Kameron Colston, finished first in the Brentwood Tournament.
The Gladiators are sending wrestlers to tournaments in Sutter and Folsom next weekend.
