All-North Central League I boys soccer team includes 14 county players in all

LAKE COUNTY >> Seven Lake County players, including two each from Lower Lake, Middletown and Upper Lake high schools, have been named to the All-North Central League I boys soccer team as selected by the league’s coaches.
Fort Bragg won a three-team NCL I race that went down to the wire, finishing with an 8-1-1 record that edged out Lower Lake (8-2) and Middletown (7-2-1) for first place. Irving Duran of Fort Bragg, a senior, was named the league’s most valuable player and joined teammates Johnny Cazares, a junior, and Matteo Caccamo, a sophomore, on the All-League first team.
For the runner-up Lower Lake Trojans, first-team selections were juniors Agustin Sanchez Navarro and Jorge Carlos Correa.
Third-place Middletown was represented on the first team by seniors Alexander Gonzalez and Bryan Sanchez.
For the fourth-place Willits Wolverines (4-6), first-team picks were Noe Alfaro and Zahyr Lopez (years in school not provided).
The fifth-place Clear Lake Cardinals (2-8) were represented on the first team by sophomore Bairo Carmona.
Honored from Upper Lake (0-10) on the first team were senior Kyler Brothers and junior Jaden Nunez.
Honorable mentions
Seven other Lake County players received honorable mentions. They were junior Juan Perez and sophomore Eduardo Daniel Fernandez of Lower Lake; seniors Seth Watson and Alex Hernandez of Middletown; junior Levi Ewing and sophomore Eric Estrada of Clear Lake; and sophomore Mario Olvera of Upper Lake.
Also receiving honorable mentions were seniors Nathan Cox and Emiliano Ramos of Fort Bragg; and Giovanni Leon and Torin Fraser of Willits (years in school not provided).
