MIDDLETOWN >> Alina Kilstrom’s eight points powered the Middletown Middle School A girls basketball team to a season-opening victory, 28-8, over Pomolita Middle School of Ukiah on Thursday in Middletown.
“My A team played exceptionally well for our first game of the season and against a bigger school with a solid basketball program,” Middletown head coach Shannon Williams said. “Our entire team got play time and we had scoring contributions from six different girls. Every player contributed in some way, whether it was defense, scoring or rebounding.”
Middletown (1-0) plays Pomolita again on Monday in Ukiah.
