Mendocino College sweeps Contra Costa in Bay Valley Conference match

UKIAH >> Stella Hill and Montana Wells registered seven kills apiece Monday night as the Mendocino College volleyball team swept Contra Costa College 25-9, 25-14, 25-12 in Bay Valley Conference action in Ukiah.

Hill (Clear Lake) also had four digs and Wells (Clear Lake) two aces as the Eagles squared their conference record at 2-2 while improving to 8-17 overall.

Other team leaders were Jaydyn Poe (Upper Lake) with four kills and three digs and Jayden Paulich (Kelseyville) with 26 assists and five aces.

“It was a little slower game to adjust to but the girls did well playing their game and not Contra Costa’s,” Mendocino College head coach Kat Edmonds said.

Mendocino College hits the road Wednesday to play Napa Valley College at 6 p.m.
