Clear Lake JVs improve to 2-0 with second straight shutout victory

MARIN >> Landyn Collins’ pick-six interception return with 6:52 left in the third quarter propelled the Clear Lake High School junior varsity football team past Redwood High School, 8-0, in non-league action Thursday in Marin.
Clear Lake improved to 2-0 on the season with a second straight shutout victory.
Collins helped anchor the Cardinals’ defensive effort with six tackles, a sack and the game-winning interception return.
Isaac Patino led the team with 6 ½ tackles while Knox Hensler had six. Colin Ingram intercepted a pass.
John Pasalo rushed for 100 yards, giving him 300 in his first two games.
Clear Lake (2-0) plays at Rio Linda on Friday, Sept. 11. Kickoff is 5 p.m.
