ALTON, Illinois >> UC Davis lost 6-0 to Florida Gulf Coast University on Tuesday, eliminating the Aggies from the 25th annual National Club Baseball Association World Series in Alton, Illinois.
Florida Golf Coast University, the No. 3 seed in the original eight-team field, went on to beat Auburn 7-6 in the championship game Thursday night. UC Davis went 2-2 in the double-elimination competition.
A member of the UC Davis roster is former Kelseyville three-sport standout Max Hommer.
