Season ends or Lake County golfers at North Coast Section Division 2 Championships

ARCATA >> Lake County’s five high school golfers entered in the North Coast Section Division 2 Championships on Monday at the par-72 Baywood Golf and Country Club in Arcata came up short in their bid to qualify for next week’s Division 1 competition.
The low 18 qualifiers Monday move on to the next round of playoffs, which take place Monday at Windsor Golf Club. Chris Chang of College Prep fired the day’s low round, a 3-under-par 69. The final two of the 18 qualifiers tied with 77.
Middletown’s David Sisson, the low scorer in the Coastal Mountain Conference South this season, came the closest with a round of 82. Teammate Grant McMillian finished with 103. Among other CMC South golfers entered, Dilyan Lopez of Technology fired a 88 while Willits’ Cole Lane had 89.
Among CMC North golfers representing Lake County, Upper Lake’s Jaden Nunez carded a 91, Clear Lake’s Francis Rivera finished at 104, and Upper Lake’s Gage Faalelea recorded a 129.
