County wrestlers compete with Spring Hills at Loomis tournament

LOOMIS >> Three Lake County wrestlers competing with Spring Hills Performance Center – The Best Wrestler turned in strong showings Saturday during the Northern California Tournament of Champions at Del Oro High School in Loomis.

Jay T. Farrell led the way, battling his way through the highly competitive 32-man bracket at 108 pounds to finish second.

Gabriel Navarro added a fourth-place finish at 103 pounds, reaching the semifinals before suffering his first loss. He fought his way back through the consolation bracket to reach the third-place match.

Brayden Paminto competed in the 89-pound bracket and ended up eighth.

Next up is the 2026 California USA Folkstyle State Championships March 13-15 in Fresno.
