Lower Lake High School motocross star wins final race at Picacho Creek Hare Scramble

COALINGA >> Recovering from an injury, Lower Lake High School freshman Rafe Wallace had a tough first day but bounced back on day two to finish first in the C200 division and capture C division overall honors out of a field of 99 motocross riders during the District 36 Picacho Creek Hare Scramble Feb. 14-15 in Coalinga.
Wallace was involved in an accident while riding his motorcycle two days before the competition and sustained serious road rash as well as cuts on his right arm and significant bruising up and down the ride side of his body.
Wallace races again Feb. 28 and March 1 when he visits Marysville for the Rumble in the Riverbed.
