WINDSOR >> Down a starter, the Clear Lake Cardinals struggled from the outset, falling 72-26 to Windsor on Monday in the opening round of the Windsor Tournament for varsity boys basketball teams

Clear Lake (7-4) lost its third straight after a 7-1 start to its season.

“One of those games,” Clear Lake head coach Shady Cerezo said. “We were down a starter. Windsor played us really tough and they couldn’t miss from the 3(-point line). On to the next one.”

Zane McAuley’s 13 points led the Cardinals.

Windsor improved to 8-4.

Clear Lake plays Tamalpais on Tuesday at 4:30 p.m.
