13 teams from Lakeport, Upper Lake, Kelseyville play for a good cause

LAKEPORT >> The 3v3 Toy Drive Tournament sponsored by the Westshore Youth Basketball League took place Sunday at the Terrace Middle School MAC in Lakeport where boys and girls between the third and eighth grades took part.
Sixty players spread out among 13 teams from Lakeport, Upper Lake and Kelseyville were entered. All of them brought toys that will be donated to the Lake Family Resource Center.
“It was a great day of basketball for a great cause and it awesome to see the kids getting involved in giving back while also having a great time playing,” tournament director Becca Joyce said.
Divisional winners were The Kobes in the third/fourth-grade boys division; Blue Panthers in the third/fourth-grade girls division; The Dillys in the fifth/sixth-grade boys division; The Slam Dunk Divas in the fifth/sixth grade girls division; and the Upper Lake Ballers in the seventh/eighth grade boys division.
