Kelseyville’s Aylin Aguilar also finishes in top 10 at CMC Championships

LAKE COUNTY >> Seven Lake County runners, six of them from Middletown High School, earned All-North Central League I honors earlier this month based on their performances during the Coastal Mountain Conference Championships at Spring Lake in Santa Rosa.
The top 10 NCL I runners in both the varsity boys and girls races automatically receive All-League honors.
Girls
For the girls, Middletown’s Len Rivas and Nala Montgomery, both seniors, placed fourth and fifth, respectively, while teammate Alivia Stark, a senior, came in 10th. Kelseyville’s Aylin Aguilar, a junior, finished seventh.
Other All-League honors went to Corinna Schlatter (first) and Summer Hardcastle (ninth) of St. Helena, both juniors; to Cloverdale juniors Malia McGrath (second) and Elizabeth Silva (third); and to Fort Bragg’s Emily Olvera (sixth) and Sadie Sorenson (eighth).
Boys
All-League honors in the varsity boys division went to a trio of Middletown runners, sophomore Landon Pisaro and juniors Ren Ueno and Isael Haro. Pisaro placed third at Spring Lake while Ueno came in fourth and Haro 10th.
St. Helena also had three runners in the top 10. They were freshmen Olympus Dodd (eighth) and Lucas Zuniga (ninth), and senior Cole Joy (seventh).
Willits and Fort Bragg each had two runners honored. For Willits, it was race winner Cole Lane, a senior, and senior teammate D. Fainer (sixth). For Fort Bragg, junior Johann Garcia-Blanco came in second while junior teammate Walker Aycock finished fifth.
