Sparks goes 2-for-3 with double, RBI in fall season opener against Yuba

COLUSA >> Lake County Fury used a nine-run top of the fourth inning to erase a 4-2 deficit and went on to beat the Yuba Ravens 11-9 in under-14 travel team softball action at Colusa.
It was the fall season opener for the Fury, who banged out 13 hits in support of winning pitcher Ashlynn Thompson, who allowed nine runs over four-plus innings, striking out eight and walking two.
Eden Sparks, Zeanna Carver and Heather Warren went 2-for-3 for the Fury (1-0). Warren and Sparks also drove in runs, and Sparks and Ella Delzompo hit doubles.
The Fury are entered in a tournament Nov. 1-2 in Pleasanton.
