Gladiator Wrestling Club members go 4-2, place third at Reno Worlds

RENO >> Kaitlyn Crow and Elijah Tucker of the Gladiators Wrestling Club placed third in their respective weight classes over the weekend to take home coveted Eagle trophies from the prestigious Reno Worlds.
Crow went 4-2 in the 8-under girls 68-pound division, including three pins. Tucker went 4-2 in the 6-under 70-pound boys division, including two pins.
Placing sixth at the tournament was Colin Crow, who went 3-3 in the 6-under 49-pound boys division, including one pin.
Also competing for the Gladiators in Reno but not placing were Logun Whittle, who went 2-2 in the 15-under boys 101-pound division; John Young, who went 0-2 in the 8-under 85-pound boys division; and Branson Whittle, who went 0-2 in the 12-under 84-pound boys division.
“I’m truly honored to be in the corner of any youth wrestler who shows desire and passion for a sport so demanding,” Gladiators coach Brandon Whittle said. “We wrestled multiple days from morning ‘til night. The kids, coaches and parents all enduring the challenge that motivated us all.”
