LOWER LAKE >> The Kelseyville Knights might not have been at the top of their game Thursday night against Lower Lake in a North Central League I boys volleyball match, but their effort was good enough to beat the Trojans 25-20, 25-15, 25-15 at Lower Lake.

“The boys played a little sluggish tonight,” Kelseyville head coach Donelle McCallister said. “Lower Lake (a first-year team) is making some great improvements.”

Andon Beall finished with 12 kills and Jayden Teabo added nine more to lead the Knights, who are now 5-0 in the conference standings and 10-9 overall. Julian Armas finished with 27 assists and Otoniel Rivas had 11 digs.

Beall, Teabo, Jorge Bernal and George Baqleh each had three aces.

Lower Lake statistics were not available.

The Knights aren’t scheduled to play again until April 14 at home against Anderson Valley.

“We are trying to schedule a couple of out-of-league matches,” McCallister said.
