Trojans score first in 6-2 loss to Bay School

Lower Lake varsity baseball teams drops non-league road game, falls to 0-5

SAN FRANCISCO >> Lower Lake grabbed an early 2-0 lead, but The Bay School came back to beat the Trojans 6-2 in non-league varsity baseball action Saturday in San Francisco.

Ashton Hartmann (1-for-3) and losing pitcher Zach Jones (2-for-4) drove in Lower Lake’s runs in the top of the first, but The Bay School scored four times in the bottom of the inning to go ahead for good. They added insurance runs in the fourth and sixth innings.

Jones worked 5 1/3 innings, allowing three hits, six runs (five earned) while striking out five and walking six. Luke Campbell finished up, walking one.

Campbell, Blake Hill and Adrian Negrete had Lower Lake’s other hits.

The Trojans are 0-5 on the season. They are home Tuesday to play Fort Bragg in a North Central League I game at 4 p.m.
