Eagles drop 63-55 Bay Valley Conference decision to Los Medanos College

UKIAH >> Montana Wells scored 21 points and Samantha Hernandez added 10 more as the Mendocino College women’s basketball team fell 63-55 to Los Medanos in a Bay Valley Conference game Friday night in Ukiah.
The Eagles (1-8) were unable to overcome a Los Medanos 24-9 first quarter.
Wells (Clear Lake) also finished with 14 rebounds. Madison Brewster-Ramirez (Clear Lake) added eight points and a team-high 17 rebounds while Stella Hill (Clear Lake) had eight points and six assists.
Hernandez (Lower Lake) had the Eagles’ only 3-pointer. Karlee Zimmerschied (Upper Lake) finished with six points and seven rebounds.
The Eagles hit the road Wednesday to play Contra Costa College at 7:30 p.m.
