Led by Kilstrom IV, Pullman, Broncos go 4-0 at Round Valley Tournament

COVERLO >> Robert Kilstrom IV was honored as tournament most valuable player while teammate Blake Pullman was named to the All-Tourney team following a 33-18 win by the Middletown Middle School B boys basketball team over Round Valley in the championship game of the Round Valley Tournament in Covelo.
Middletown Middle School went 4-0 during the tournament. In the championship game, Kilstrom IV led the way with nine points, Pullman added eight and Deegan Clark had six.
The Broncos opened tournament play with a 29-28 victory over Obsidian Middle School, which went on to finish in third place. Pullman led Middletown with 10 points.
Middletown faced the Round Valley C team in its next game, prevailing 49-12 behind eight points apiece from Pullman, Clark, Kilstrom IV and Kenya Rose, who led the team with five steals.
In their third game, the Broncos beat Round Valley B 40-30 as Kilstrom IV led all scorers with 22 points.
“All 12 players showed their best selves and have definitely made the statement that there will be an exciting season ahead,” Middletown head coach Cassandra DeTrinidad said.
