Semaj Clark has big game for Dickinson State University

LOWER LAKE >> Former Lower Lake High School football star Semaj Clark, the county record holder for most receiving yards (1,258) in a single season, has been named the North State Athletic Association’s player of the week on offense.

Clark, a 2020 Lower Lake graduate, caught five passes for 148 yards and two touchdowns during Dickinson State University’s 22-20 loss to Wisconsin-Stout on Saturday. Clark, a junior at the Dickinson, North Dakota, university, scored twice in the fourth quarter on plays of 43 and 14 yards. He also had a 53-yard reception during the game.

It was the first loss of the season for Dickinson State (2-1), which entered the game ranked 16th in the nation in NAIA. The loss dropped them to No. 22.

Clark has played in two of the Blue Hawks’ three games this season. He has eight catches for 187 yards and three touchdowns.

Dickinson State hosts Jamestown on Saturday at 1 p.m.

Clark set Lake County’s record for most receiving yards in a single season during the 2019 season.
