Drake pitches five-hitter, goes 3-for-4 at plate in 17-5 win over St. Helena

ST. HELENA >> Destiny Drake pitched a five-hitter to help lift the Lower Lake High School junior varsity softball team to a 17-5 win over the St. Helena Saints in the North Central League I opener for both squads Thursday in St. Helena.
Drake also went 3-for-4 at the plate. Lexi Mitchell went 3-for-4 with a triple and Uriah Rogers also had three hits as the Trojans (1-0 league, 1-4 overall) secured their first win of the season.
Zeanna Carver and Aniya Myer both went 2-for-2 for Lower Lake.
The Trojans play two non-league games next week. They travel to Sebastopol on Tuesday to play Analy and to East Nicolaus on Friday.
