Kelseyville sophomore one of five Knights earning All-League honors

LAKE COUNTY >> Kelseyville High School sophomore Riley Hanson is the co-most valuable player on the 2025 edition of the All-North Central League I volleyball team as recently selected by the league’s coaches. Cloverdale High School junior Ronni Hatcher shared the MVP award with Hanson.

Kelseyville and Cloverdale tied for the league championship this season, both teams finishing 13-1 and splitting their head-to-head matchups, those matches going to five sets each time. As a result, Kelseyville and Cloverdale dominated the All-League selections.

First team

The All-League first team includes a pair of Knights and Eagles. For Kelseyville, seniors AJ Wurm and Bella Patti were honored along with Cloverdale freshman Grace Rhodes and sophomore Taylor Kurpinsky.

Completing the first team are Middletown senior Carly Johnson and Fort Bragg sophomore Moana Chamberlin.

Second team

Kelseyville and Cloverdale also had two players honored on the All-League second team. Kelseyville seniors Mati Mateer and Madeline Borghesani joined Cloverdale senior Michelle Figueroa and junior Lexie Hernandez on the second squad.

Harley Holley of Middletown, a senior, and Katelyn Burbeck of Fort Bragg, a junior, also earned second-team honors.

Honorable mention

Honorable mentions went to Lower Lake junior Khaya Chaney, Clear Lake senior Faith McIntire, Upper Lake senior Aimee Schaefers, Middletown junior Bridget Lisenbee, Fort Bragg senior Halle Garcia and St. Helena senior Olive Filippini.

All-County team

Lake County Sports will release the All-County team early next month. That team includes a most valuable player, six first-team players and eight second-team players.
