KELSEYVILLE >> The Kelseyville Knights might allow another goal at some point this season, but it didn’t happen Wednesday during a 4-0 non-league victory over Credo at Kelseyville High School.

Kelseyville (14-1) posted its 11th shutout of the season while winning its seventh straight game, all of them shutout victories.

“Credo played a tough game, taking several shots on goal, but goalkeeper Kassandra Rodriguez came up with key saves to preserve the shutout,” Kelseyville head coach Irma Rodriguez said.

Mikaela Rico scored both of the Knights’ first-half goals and added a third goal in the second half to complete the hat trick. Kylee Denham also scored a goal and it was her assist in the second half that set up Rico’s third goal.

Jeanette Mendoza also had an assist for Kelseyville.

“The Lady Knights, meanwhile, showed how much playing winter soccer last year has paid off with another strong team performance,” Rodriguez said.

Kelseyville resumes its North Central League I schedule on Tuesday in Middletown at 6:15 p.m.
