County youth wrestlers compete at USA Wrestling Kids Nationals in Iowa

CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa >> Lake County wrestlers and brothers Maverick and Brantley Paminto turned in All-American performances June 27-29 at the 2025 USA Wrestling Kids Nationals in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

The Paminto brothers – Maverick, Brantley and Brayden — were competing for Spring Hills Wrestling.

Maverick Paminto finished second in the Greco division, losing only one match. He also placed eighth in the freestyle division. Paminto earned All-American status (top-eight finish required) in both disciplines.

Brantley Paminto finished sixth in the Greco division to earn All-American honors. Brayden Paminto sustained a back injury in his first match and was unable to continue.
