Maddy Garner shines in first start for Trojans, strikes out six

LOWER LAKE >> With their top pitcher, Crystal Pepper, moving up to the varsity after two players quit the squad Monday, the Lower Lake High School junior varsity softball team didn’t skip a beat Tuesday while beating Upper Lake 24-10 in five innings during North Central League I softball action at Lower Lake.
Making her first start of the season, Maddy Garner pitched a complete game and struck out six.
Monae Rogers led the offense, going 2-for-3. Marlene Jack doubled while Victoria Bradley singled and finished with three RBIs.
