At Fort Bragg, the Windsor Jaguars volunteered to replace Fort Bragg in the consolation bracket of the Vern Piver Holiday Classic even though the Jaguars are also competing in the winner’s bracket of the same tournament. Tournament host Fort Bragg played two games on Thursday in opening-round action because another team, Durham, dropped out. Fort Bragg was originally scheduled to play Clear Lake in the consolation semifinals, but Windsor volunteered to take the Timberwolves’ place because they were looking to pick up another game.

Despite the loss to Windsor, Clear Lake will still advance to the consolation championship and face Upper Lake on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. as Windsor continues on in the championship bracket.

Aliyah Valadez scored nine points to lead the Cardinals (4-5) while Faith McIntire added seven points, 11 rebounds, four steals, two blocks and two assists. Kaylah Billig finished with six points, nine rebounds, three steals and two blocks.
