Cardinals compete at three different tournaments

LAKEPORT >> Clear Lake High School wrestlers had a busy weekend, attending three tournaments, including the Coastal Mountain Conference Novice on Friday and Saturday at Middletown High School.
Additionally, a handful of the team’s boys traveled to the Jim Lanterman Classic on Saturday at Vintage High School in Napa while a handful of girls hit the road for a tournament in Albany.
CMC Novice
At Middletown, Logan Percaccio (132 pounds), Dylan Tinney (138), Saul Rascon (144), Armando Alvarez (150) and Conri Richardson (165) all won their weight classes at the CMC Novice while Aleeya Bondi (125), Ema Vasquez (145), Will Greene (190) and Valkyrie Weddle (190) brought home second-place medals.
Third-place medals went to Justin Saez (138), Hannah Bila (215) and Landon Williams (285).
Jim Lanterman Classic
At Napa, Silas Reese went 3-1 and finished second at 132 pounds at the Jim Lanterman Classic while Adrian Truby went 2-2 and placed fifth at 138 pounds.
Girls
At Albany, Addyson Munoz went 1-1 for a second-place finish at 140 pounds. Nikki Buechler also brought home a second-place medal, going 2-1 at 235 pounds.
Fourth-place medals went to Renee Meaders, who went 2-2 at 100 pounds, and to Vasquez, who went 2-2 at 145 pounds.
Among JV girls, Hanna Bila went 2-1 to finish second at 235 pounds while Ariel Perez went 3-1 to place fifth at 155 pounds.
