Girls from all schools welcome to participate in Sunday tryout sessions

KELSEYVILLE >> The Konocti Bay club volleyball team is holding tryouts for the upcoming season today and again next Sunday at the Kelseyville High School gym.
Tryout hours both days are 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. for girls in the 10-and-under and 12-and-under divisions, and 4 p.m.-6 p.m. for girls in the 13-and-up division (through 11th grade). The cost is $5 for each tryout session.
Players at any school are welcome to participate. Teams will be formed based on age/skill depending on coaching availability. Tryouts include passing, setting, serving, hitting and digging drills.
Participants are not required to play on the Konocti Bay teams, but they should inform staff if they wish to be a team member. Club information and costs will be available during the tryouts. Athletes chosen for the club team will be informed at the tryouts or by phone.
There will be a brief meeting after each tryout to answer parent/guardian questions.
The selection process for Konocti Bay team members is based on several factors, including attitude, coachability, heart, perseverance, joy for the sport, willingness to learn/work, teamwork, the ability to take critique and learn from it, positivity, and skill development.
