RICHMOND >> Offense is usually at a premium in playoff soccer, and fourth-seeded Summit 2K, a public/charter school that serves the El Cerrito/Richmond area, manufactured the only goal Friday, blanking the Lower Lake Trojans 1-0 in the quarterfinals of the North Coast Section Division 2 postseason tournament in Richmond.
Summit 2K (4-0-4) broke through in the second half and will now advance to the semifinals on Wednesday against either No. 1 seed Jewish Community or No. 9 Redwood Christian.
Fifth-seeded Lower Lake, the No. 5 seed and North Central League I runner-up this season, closes out its year at 11-5-4.
Lower Lake received a first-round bye before facing Summit 2K, which also had a first-round bye, in the quarterfinals.
Kelseyville, the No. 10 seed, lost 4-0 in opening-round play Wednesday against No. 7 seed Del Norte in Crescent City.
