Kylee Denham places first in high jump, second in 100 meters

ST. HELENA >> Kylee Denham won the varsity girls high jump and placed second in the 100-meter hurdles for Kelseyville High School during a Coastal Mountain Conference track and field meet Wednesday in St. Helena.

The Kelseyville varsity girls finished third in team scoring with 94 points in the five-team meet, finishing behind St. Helena (112) and Sonoma Academy (106).

Denham cleared 4 feet, 8 inches in the high jump. Her runner-up time in the 100 hurdles was 19.12 seconds, a personal best.

Elizabeth Erlandson added second-place finishes in the 200 (personal-best time of 27.66) and 400 (personal best of 1 minute, 3.18 seconds). She also placed third in the high jump at 4-2.

Valeria Larios Muniz placed second in the discus with a personal-best throw of 66-1. Other seconds went to the 4×100 relay team of Erlandson, Kyla Gregorie, Ximena Herren and Arionna Sanderson with a team-best 56.22, and the 4×400 relay team of Sanderson, Herren, Gregorie and Estefany Munoz with a team-best 4:57.90.

Grace Hobbs added a third in the shotput at 23-6, and Aylin Aguilar was third in the 3,200 (14:56.58).

Varsity boys

John Carr took third in the varsity boys discus at 91-5 and third in the shotput in 36-6.

Frosh-soph girls

Dakotah Burton won the frosh-soph girls 200 with a personal-best time of 29.59 and the 400 (1:10.02).

Alexandria Garcia added firsts in the 800 (2:46.73) and 1,600 (6:50.18).

Aubrey Wiser picked up another first in the shotput with a personal-best of 24-2, and the 4×400 relay team of Burton, Wiser, Garcia and Simone Silveria finished first with a team-best 5:20.64.

Skyla Olson-Zepeda finished second in the 800 with a personal best of 2:48.81.

Garcia added a third in the 400 (1:20.60).

Frosh-soph boys

Angel Ruiz won the frosh-soph boys shotput (35-0) and discus (98-9). He added a second in the 100 (12.58).

Izayah Zavalza took second in the 400 (1:11.52).
