Veteran wrestler posts 4-1 record at Brentwood tournament

BRENTWOOD >> Veteran Clear Lake High School wrestler Nikki Buechler went 4-1 to finish third in the 235-pound division Tuesday as the Brittany David Invitational wrapped up at Liberty High School in Brentwood.
Buechler beat two North Coast Section placers from a year ago as well as a state qualifier during the tournament. Her only loss came in the semifinals.
Other Cardinals in attendance were Ariel Perez, who went 3-2 and finished sixth at 155 pounds; Liliana Ortega, who went 2-2 at 125 pounds; Amanda Truby, who went 2-2 at 135 pounds; Ashlyn Noiset, who went 1-1 at 105 pounds; and Lilly Cortez, who went 1-2 at 120 pounds.
