Middletown runs out of healthy players in North Central League I road game

LOWER LAKE >> A win is a win is a win, and the Lower Lake Trojans ended up with the W on Thursday afternoon after the Middletown Mustangs ran out of players in a North Central League I junior varsity baseball contest at Lower Lake.

In a game tied 6-6 going to the bottom of the fifth inning, Middletown had to forfeit after losing one player to injury and another to ejection, leaving the Mustangs with only seven healthy bodies. 

Jordan Rohrbacker ended up as the winning pitcher after dealing a complete game. He allowed three hits, four earned runs, struck out eight and walked one.

Zander Aguirre went 2-for-3 with a double and Jaylen James also had two hits for the Trojans. Brody Shields knocked in two runs.

For Middletown, Valentin Jimenez went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Diego Pimentel went 1-for-2. Fernando Ruiz knocked in a run.
