Top three in all weight classes advance to sectional championships next weekend

WILLITS >> Clear Lake High School wrestlers Carson Wikstrom, Ralphy Blancas and Addyson Munoz came away with first-place medals from the Coastal Mountain Conference Championships held Thursday at Willits High School.
The top three qualifiers in each weight class advances to the North Coast Section Championships next weekend -– the girls at Albany High School and the boys at James Logan High School in Union City.
Boys
Wikstrom won the 159-pound boys weight class while Blancas topped the field at 215 pounds. Both were seeded second in their weight classes but ended up being the No. 1 seed in the finals.
Armando Alvarez added a second-place finish at 138 pounds and Joel Rascon finished third at 122 pounds.
Clear Lake’s boys finished third in the team standings.
Girls
Along with Munoz winning her weight class in the girls field, Nikki Buechler came in second while Valkyrie Weddle, Ariel Perez and Ema Vasquez all finished third.
